Ok...so for some reason, with my music, I go in phases of what I like to listen to. Recently I've been in an 80s mood and I'm putting together an 80s CD and I need some suggestions as to what to include on it.

I already have:

"You Sping Me Round"
"You Make My Dreams Come True"
"White Wedding"
"Love Stinks"
"Wake Me Up Before You Go Go"
"Vogue" (technically came out in 1990...but w/e)
"I Wanna Dance With Somebody"

Anyone else have ideas?

I wouldn't put "Vogue" on there because its sound is very early-90s.

For 80s Madonna, I recommend "Like A Prayer," "Holiday" and especially "Into the Groove" (I think "Like a Virgin" is overrated).

Also consider:
-- "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order
-- "West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys
-- "Don't You Want Me" by Human League

Well, you go most of the faggy ones out of the way, so I'll offer these:

"Don't Stop Believing" - Journey
"Hold On" - Wilson Phillips

Madonna's "Like a Prayer" is incredible. My favorite video of all time. I used to dance in my living room to that and my family would make fun of me.

"Take on Me" -A-ha

I love 80s music. Too bad I was a baby and didn't care that much when the music was actually new.

But the secret ingredient is love. Dammit.

Like a Prayer stands up today, after all these years. Although, wasn't that early 90s? It def. doesn't have the 80s "sound."

I'd say:

Into the Groove and Everybody - Madonna

I Know What Boys Like - the Martha Quinn band (I think The Waitresses?)

True - Spandau Ballet

Rio - Duran Duran

Whip It - Devo (for stupid 80s robot dancing)

Manic Monday - The Bangles

Shake Your Love - Debbie Gibson

Too many good ones to list.
