Wait, there was an actual point to your post? I'm so confused. Why don't you continue the script? I'm absolutely dying to know exactly what Marquise is holding.
I, along with one of my friends, visited the set of "General Hospital" twice during the time that Gloria Monty was producing it. (Note: Gloria was a former director on a CBS soap that originated from New York called The Secret Storm.)
At the time, the show was being produced out of the Sunset-Gower Studios in Hollywood, which has an entrance by Fountain Avenue and North Gower. Gloria was a good friend of my (late) friend, Charles Paul, and, in fact, had hired him to do the background orchestrations at GH.
Jill Farren Phelps, who, today, is the executive producer of GH was, at the time, in charge of the day-to-day selections out of Charles' music catalog.
I recall that during one of the visits, my friend and I brought along a nice mobile for Gloria's office. The other visit, we brought her a large tin of cookies from David's Cookies.
A full description of the visits would run on and on, and could be the subject of later posts. (That is, if anyone on this board is truly interested in the details -- don't want to bore you, after all, with these irrelevant off-topic discussions!)
However, I'll relay the conversation that I had with my cousin, Karen, on the evening of one of the visits, at dinner in Santa Monica:
KAREN
(CURIOUS)
So what did you guys do today?
MARK2
(MATTER OF FACTLY)
We went to "General Hospital." We rented a car and drove over there.
KAREN
(SHOCKED GASP)
Huhhhhhhh !!!
MARK2
(CONCERNED)
Karen, what's wrong?
KAREN
(STILL SHOCKED)
What's wrong with you that you had to go to a hospital?
MARK2
(AMUSED)
No, Karen! We didn't go to a hospital! It's a TV show! We were at a TV studio in Hollywood.
well to end everyones curiosity Marquise is holding a rather large hammer that he will bash Mark2 upside the head with if he doesn't put an end to this ridiculous thread!
