I do agree that the boss should have ordered a cheese pizza for the in office lunch. It wasn't fair to the employee but the guy should have surmised that his boss was going to be a jerk. At any rate we have all gone without a lunch at one time or other in our lives.
I am interested to learn just what this man was fired for, or what was the reason given by the boss.

Weez, I was once staying at a hotel in London that I couldn't really afford, and there were no restaurants open late (or shops where you could pop in and get something to smuggle back to the room).
So I survived on the rocket salad from room service--pretty much the only thing I could afford.

That's what made the whole elitist thing even more funny. Like when Moe the bartender thought "garage" was a pansy French word and insisted it be called a "car hole."

Radiana, steakhouses are THE restaurant variety in which vegetarians are generally unable to "find something on the menu they can eat."
You can excuse the manager all you want, but what he demonstrated by his behavior was the exact opposite of "team building."
