Student theaters and amateur community theaters usually struggle with book-keeping while there is an easy solution for that problem!
There is an online service that helps you do book-keeping without any acounting skills - it's called Scred (www.scred.com). You can easily create a group on Scred for your upcoming performance and add to it everyone involved in the production so that they can put there receipts for things they have paid for. The treasurer then reimburses everyone and sends expense claims to others. Scred automatically tracks all transactions and gives you reports on your moneyflow.
You can also easily set up a webshop on Scred, link it to your own website and start selling your products while Scred records purchases, manages inventory and adds it all to your reports. It's just as easy to collect membership fees and sell tickets for your upcoming performances!
You can create an account on Scred and use its accounting software features for free. The only thing the service charges for is 1,5% from direct transactions done through Scred (note, PayPal can add its own charges to the transaction). Tip: you can also add manually transactions that you've done offline - it's free and it is still tracked by the system!
What do you think about that service? Have you ever used it?

Hi!
Sorry for the spoiled introduction and please don't take this topic the wrong way. I am working as a summer intern at Scred and I am trying to collect feedback on the service. It was my mistake not to mention it in the first post and I sincerely apologise for that.
However, my request is still standing and I would still appreciate your help if you'd like to check out Scred's website and post here how you like the service, what value can it add for you or what you don't like about it. Any feedback is warmly welcome here!
