The entire day I had ESPNews on in the background and I kept hearing about a deal with the Marlins and then all of a sudden he's in LA. Amazing.

Griffy Jr going to Chicago was also quite interesting.

It's a bittersweet morning for me. I'm really happy that he is going to the West Coast. I trully enjoyed the years he spent here with the Red Sox. But his off-field antics, I have had enough of. Same thing occured 4 years ago with Nomar. And they went onto win the WS. Best of luck LA, you have your hands full.

Good riddance! I was getting so sick of his off-field antics, like Joe said. Plus, the guy wasn't a very good outfielder. That's not sour grapes.

It seems like Manny's getting more irritable as time goes on. Maybe he was just tired of Boston and everything was a symptom of that.

Still, he's the most thrilling hitter in baseball and I've always had a soft spot for him since he was in Canton, the Cleveland AA team in the 90's.

I think it worked both ways. The one thing that got me this season. Was when he pushed down one of the traveling mangers. Who was 64 yrs old, cause he didn't get him enough tickets for a game.
