After several days of media speculation that suggested that Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross was planning to come out as a lesbian in the pages of The Advocate, the actress's publicist has released a statement denying such a move.
"In response to the recent rumors about Marcia Cross, they are completely untrue," says a statement from Cross's publicist, Heidi Lopata Slan. "She is, however, very supportive of the gay and lesbian community."
Cross and her fellow Housewives were honored over the weekend when the show was awarded Best Comedy Ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild awards.

and the media needs to stop looking to "datalounge" for their stories. Apparently, that's the source to all the "hoopla" - which, it appears, is unfounded.

I don't watcvh the show, but the article indicated that Cross' son on the show is gay. Is that character already "out"?

i've always thought Marcia was gorgeous and talented. i saw her this morning with another gorgeous and talented woman, Diane Sawyer.
i only catch the show occasionally. They made a reference this morning to something Bree says to her husband at some big dinner, which Marcia was reluctant to say, but they couldn't say on air at that time in the morning.
Some superfan mind filling me in? plus, which family member is Andrew, Bree's husband or her son?

there is something about a redhead, of either gender. She really made me a fan again of MELROSE PLACE. There may be a lot of product, but that's a lot of really beautiful hair to use it on.

well it should be an interesting storyline as they are pumping up the fact that Bree and her husband are Republicans. Nothing against GOPs--it's just a topical issue.
