Anyone just watch him on the pew, I mean View? He just did a set on the Globes which was brilliant! He did show Drew's dress and I am more than mortified for her! OMG-there are no words. How old is she? Her buzzooms are under her belt!

I just caught the end of the segment. The Clint Eastwood part was funny as hell too.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

And I love the way he kept saying "I'm not gay but if I were, I'd be offended!"

He's hilarious, and he touched just about everything that we've all been talking about.

Yep, vintage Cantone. I taped it and watched a 2nd time the part about Dennis Quaid (who played tortured gay brilliantly, let's remember, in FAR FROM HEAVEN.)

QUAID: "Let's just say, it rhymes with chick flick."

MARIO (eyes narrowing, jaw set): "Hmm, and what would THAT be, Dennis? Lick Flick? Hick Flick, Mick Flick?!"

Hi-larious.

Yeah, I thought his thing about Clint Eastwood was funny. That's all I saw.

BTW, speaking of Dennis Quaid comment "Let's just say, it rhymes with chick flick." I didn't like it very much at all.

What did he say about Eastwood?

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

He focused on the faces Eastwood made when he had to award best movie to BBM. The camera zoomed into a real scowl.

He was like
"This from a guy who got his start on a T.V. Show called Raw Hide."

And how it seemed like Eastwood could barely get the words out when he announced BM had won. "Brokeback (long pause) Mountain"

You had to hear it.

In all fairness, I think big-hearted, ultimately yin kinda guy Eastwood is probably a fan of the film. (Oddly enough, or not, the film's emotional temperature ain't that far removed from that of last year's MILLION DOLLAR BABY. Both movies are tragedies about crusty, shut-down men who are softened for life by encounters with more emotionally accessible types they grow to love dearly, no?) But it was bizarre the way he half-garbled "Ang Lee," and said BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN with a tone of surprise. Mario may be straining to get his VIEW minutes filled, but I think he did stumble on backlash, conscious or otherwise. Anyone who taped it: watch it again.
