For those who don't know, in 1988 while in Ireland, he killed two people while driving carelessly and pleaded guilty in absentia ( he couldn't be bothered to return to Ireland and face the families). Probably because the authorities were bought off, he recieved only 100 lb fine for two deaths he caused. When asked about it later he said "My leg was broken. I was badly messed up. I have no desire to be more badly hurt. I don't feel that I need to have more misfortune or that anything bad has to happen to me to pay for this. I can say it's over, and I'm really glad it's over. I want to go on."
What a guy.
Oh, and I agree with Shrbrt - maybe while he is recovering he can take some refresher acting courses, his performances over the last 5 years have sucked.
