A few weeks ago, it was trendy in the media to portray Obama as arrogant and presumptuous. Now, however, McCain seems to be acting like the president:
"The situation in Georgia remains fluid and dangerous. As soon as possible my colleagues senators Lieberman and Graham will be traveling to Georgia. They're both members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. I hope that other members of the Armed Services Committee in the Senate will go together."
Is it me, or is the implication that he is sending his surrogates as envoys? Graham and Lieberman have both been speaking for his campaign on the talk shows, now he's announcing their trip to Georgia, and charging other committee members to join them.

If Obama had done something like this, he would have been killed by the Republicans.
There is an inherent double-standard.

Yep.
Not to mention having a senior policy adviser as a paid lobbyist for Georgia.
There is a double-standard. Obama's surrogates need to be a bit more outspoken, and start playing offense instead of defense.
