In NYC, they are putting her in the 11 am slot which is against The View. This is the sounding of the death toll.
Let's hope that someone writes a good sitcom for her or that she returns to Broadway.

I finally got a chance to see her show the other day. For all the hype, I was left wondering, "Ok, what's so different?" Sofa on the left, stage in the middle, live band on the right, host kisses a** of guest, and that was about it. Not to mention the sketch they did at the beginning (about her trying to help her staff) was painfully unfunny. Based on all the information I heard before the show started, I was expecting something more along the lines of a variety show (a la Carol Burnett). In fact, I think I even remember Megan herself making that comparison. Oh well.
Megan, I love ya. But do something unique...please.

No, she has said that Carol Burnett is an inspiration to her. She never said that her show would be that format or that she thought she was as good.
I think she has fun ideas--she's just too stiff. But at times, she delivers wildly funny interviews that cover topics I normally don't see. I don't want her show to fail--I hope it gels and becomes a hit.
But, if it does end, I do hope she comes back to Broadway.

Whew! That's a relief...why not spin off Karen and Jack? It can't be any worse than anything else they've come up with

Too much singing. She had Debra Mesing on as a gues and I thought i was going to heave. It was basically, "You're great!" "No..You're Great!"
Icck...she's not a good interviewer.

Along with The View (LOVING Rosie!), this was on my daytime DVR list. I'm so disappointed.
I was actually looking forward to hearing Megan sing, but the show was so f--king bad I had to erase it within minutes, so I have no idea if/when she sang. I'm sorry it sucks--because she's talented and I like her--but it deserves to be canned. The only way it would have been entertaining is if she did the entire show as Karen.

I caught this show for the first time the other day and made myself watch it so I could form an opinion...but I wouldn't watch it again.
I thought she did something like this to break away from the Karen/Will & Grace thing, but a lot of what she did was talk about Will & Grace. Although, that was when it was the most interesting, so whatever.
I don't know if she's just uncomfortable or hasn't quite found her niche, but this really doesn't seem to be working for her, which is a shame. She should be doing something better, something she's good at.

dance competition for non-dancers
she's big on including the audience, which I think is fun at times.

I tried watching the show the other week whilst home sick, I think it had Jane Kaczmarek on it. I couldn't get past the second segment. Megan is undeniably very talented as an actress, but as "herself" I just don't get the point of the show.
Who is her audience? Who is she speaking for or to? Why are we supposed to be watching, and what makes her so unique to the daytime audience?
I've tried to answer those questions, but can't. So I agree, just bring her back to Broadway.

I love the lady and I really tried to give the show a chance but after about four airings, I couldn't take it anymore. Ms. M. is a great performer, but a talk show host, she ain't. This will be gone soon.
