It's very pretty but doesn't really feel like a home, there's nothing personal. It's as warm as furniture showroom.

2026 Tony Awards Performance Predictions (or What Songs They Should and Will Perform) Jun 6 2026, 03:52:05 PM
EDSOSLO858 said: "Correction: Mark Sonnenblick will be assisting Pasek and Paul for this year’s opening number, not Shaiman."
Damn, I was really hoping for Shaiman. Otherwise it's just gonna be some anthemic, repetitive thing.

and you thought Broadway had high ticket prices... Jun 6 2026, 10:02:17 AM
I can't even afford to get on the NJ Transit to a game, much less actually go inside. (Not that I actually would want to.)

Pink to Host the 2026 Tony Awards Jun 6 2026, 10:00:34 AM
Kelly Clarkson just taped her final episode this week. Wonder if she'll use the Tonys to finally announce she's taking over her show, or wait until Monday morning.

Current Principal Cast Jun 4 2026, 01:53:34 PM
Y'all know that many a gay has played Billy Flynn right?
Comics are performers putting on a persona.
Matteo studied voice as a teenager.
I'm sure he'll be fine.

Beth Leavel in Hello, Dolly! at Ogunquit Playhouse May 29 2026, 10:57:12 PM
I saw somewhere online today someone actually upset about the supporting cast, that in a normal case these roles would be filled by regional actors, not "stars" like this case. An interesting point.

CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Reviews May 29 2026, 02:14:46 PM
Here I am thinking The View was just fine.
I'm not sure why the expectations are so high on these appearances. CATS is primarily a dance show, so I'm sure it costs money to really rework and create dance medleys for a daytime appearance. I'm hopeful they can pull something fun together for the Tonys, but even that is like what, 4 minutes?

Tonight's show was great. And I think Bebe Nicole Simpson threw in a little Pippin reference while she was going offstage later in the show.

I'm going to the show tonight. Hopefully Ru is on as guest judge, and they all got a nap this afternoon!

CHESS Sets June 21 Closing May 26 2026, 07:49:57 PM
Personally I was surprised they thought JoJo would be a draw. Moulin Rouge at least had the name recognition, Chess' recognition is more infamous to begin with.

TITANÍQUE Reviews May 25 2026, 10:29:22 AM
Aside from maybe releasing Layton's "River Deep, Mountain High" as a single, a majority of the songs are sung by Marla as Celine, and I don't think it would amount to more than karaoke as a cast album, they're not entirely different arrangements.

I can see Dreamgirls working very nicely in the Majestic..........."

Does anyone have any predictions as to what show may move into the Lunt after DBH closes on June 28? May 21 2026, 07:37:45 PM
Kad said: "NPH has proven to be a very reliable box office draw and it's a good role for him- albeit one that seems like he could do in his sleep- so it makes sense. Sucks for McClure, but it's obvious this revival will need star power and Applegate is the easiest role for a name."
Sadly, you're right. The same older audiences that would recognize the property would see his name at would be catnip.
Just a shame that with a cast so diverse as the Ar

Metropolitan Opera's money crunch May 19 2026, 10:13:41 PM
Seems like the Met and Gelb are really in a lose-lose to meh-meh situation. They're in between old school and new school, and neither school has the deep pockets to keep it afloat.

Gaten Matarazzo to lead RENT on the West End May 19 2026, 02:01:57 PM
Luke Shepperd's website show production pics. Has a real Spring Awarkening vibe based on it. Wonder how it'll play in the West End or Broadway.
I happened to like the Off-Broadway revival, but I think it was just too soon after the original closed. Plus some of the leads' casting was questionable.

I swear to Christ I will never forgive the creative team of Damn Yankees if they force us to endure NPH when Rob McClure is right there. And Julianne Hough after they fin
