Posted: 1/13/09 at 8:18pmI loved Sydney and Michael. Jo was great, too. Daphne Zuniga left way too early. I hated the later additions like Kristin Davis and Lisa Rinna.

Posted: 1/14/09 at 6:13amWhile I have little faith that this will be good and know without a doubt that they can't top any of Place's memorable moments (Kimberly blowing everything to high heavens, anyone?!), I still will be watching the new one. Because as much as the new 90210 isn't anything compared to the original, I still squeal with delight every time Kelly comes on the screen or they mention Dylan. Hell, I even adore one of the main young characters (Silver) just because we got to see her in Jackie Taylor's belly, then her as a baby, and now she's all grown up (plus she kind of rocks). Oh, and who thought we would ever see Brenda Walsh in that zip code again? So I will reserve judgments for now since if they want epic drama they are certainly looking in the right place for inspiration.

This is one of my all time fave shows and guilty pleasures.
It was on prime time TV here in the UK (sky 1) years ago but then ratings began to fall and it was axed in season 6 and i was heartbroken.
A few years later someone was selling every episode on dvd on ebay (recorded of the TV) and i thought 'what the hell' so got them and finally got see how it ended, ive now managed to turn my fella on to it and he loves it.
It was just so unashamedly stupid, perfect escapism.
I dont think the new version will be as good but to be honest i will give it a go, the new 90210 is nothing like the original but is still fun so im still watching (even though im 30 and should no better lol)
I just hope they keep the new one campy and don't (as i fear they will) try to turn it in to a slick drama, Melrose was famous for its OTT story lines, take them away then its not melrose.
I am glad Heather Locklear looks set to sign on

Posted: 1/14/09 at 7:42amI loved the old crazy-ass wig wearing Marcia Cross from Melrose so much more than the botoxed-to-within-an-inch-of-her-life Bree from Desperate Housewives. Just sayin...

Yeah, loved how she was always sneaking around, disguised as a nurse, hiding a hypodermic behind her back.
And is it me, or was someone always falling/being pushed and hitting their head on the edge of that pool.
When I lived in CA in my twenties, I lived in a complex exactly like that.
