Hmm, tough one. I like Connemara, especially Corr na Mona, a little town in the Gaeltacht (Gaeltacht is a place where the local people speak Irish, or 'Gaelic', instead of English) and I might take you there. If you're a heavy drinker I could take you to the Guinness Hopstore, Factory and Warehouse in St. James' Gate in Dublin. I'd probably find you in a gutter about a mile away with your ear half eaten off a day or two later.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Is your Sig note serious? I can play a very eerie version of that song on clarinet.

How Vivid!

We actually went to the Guinness factory while we were in Dublin. I liked it (LOVED the beer), but it was too much about marketing beer and not enough about brewing it (for me).

We also went to a pub near St. Stephens Green --- loved it.

Do you ever make it to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh? It's probably a bit of a hike for you (although, nothing compared to us Yanks). It seems like it would be great. We were there just before it started, that year.

Have you ever been to the U.S.? Are you planning any trips soon?

EDIT: And I'm more into the history and the culture of it, rather than the booze. Although, booze ain't bad...

If you were a tree, what type of tree would you be?
If you could be one person other than yourself, who would it be?
If you could have someone's vocal cords, who's would you have?
If you could have someone else's feet (for dancing), who's would you have?

I love travelling, I've been to the US six times. Once in New York, last Christmas, and I'll be going there again this Christmas. Anyone want to meet up?!?! Ha ha. Anyway, the other 5 times were to Florida, I'm a sucker for Disney. No, never been to the fringe festival, but I've been to Edinburgh. What was the bar at St. Stephen's green called? I live in the suburbs but I go to school near there so I know the area well. Was it Break for the Border? I hear it's nice there (wouldn't know, I don't drink and I'm not old enough anyway.

BTW, sorry Robbo, I'll leave it to you.

If I were a tree I'd be a Giant Redwood cos I'd like to show off a little,

If I could be anyone other than myself I'd like to be either Liam Mower or Sir Richard Branson, but probably the former,

If I could have someone's voice it would be, err, maybe Sinatra, but probably someone with a huge range, not sure who has that.

Again, if I could have someone's feet for dancing it would be Liam Mower.

It was O'Donohoe's. They had great live music! It's about a 3-minute walk from the Green.

I'm sure you would find plenty of BWW folks to rendezvous with you during the Holidays! I'm a West Coaster though, in Hollywood... so unless you make it over to our neck of the woods, it's unlikely.

Were you born and raised in Ireland? What's your favorite local place for theatre?

I'm 15, and I was born here and still am being raised here, as soon as I'm not being raised any more I'm off somewhere else! Maybe South Africa, I liked it there...

Anyway, the Abbey is probably our most famous theatre, but I'm more into musicals than plays, so I'm not that keen on it. The Gaiety has some nice shows on. The worst thing about it is, in Dublin, when a major West End Musical comes to town, it usually goes to 'The Point', which is a glorified Train shed with 8500 seats shoved in.

8,500 seats? That's terrible. I wish I'd had a chance to see something at the Abbey. It's legendary! We did drive by it and bow respectfully, of course.

Best of luck when you're not "being raised" anymore! The world is ready and waiting.

...Oh, and enjoy your "day" today. Thanks for answering questions from across the pond.

My pleasure. By the way, I'm sure that you won't be pleased if tell you that they're knocking down the Abbey and building a new theatre near that Train Shed place, but it's true. The idiots in government haven't got a clue.

Wait, vmlinnie, don't go yet! Damn these timezones. message board celebrity of the day - ZONEACE

Congrats!

If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?

What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?

What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?

If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?

If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?

What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?

What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?

Sponsor me as I walk the Philadelphia AIDS Walk - Sunday, October 16, 2011. Many of our friends, family and neighbors are in desperate need of health care services and other life-saving programs, but with cutbacks in government dollars , these programs are often under-funded. Now, more than ever, your donations are needed to support organizations providing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, counseling and testing and care services for people living with HIV/AIDS. http://www.aidswalkphilly.org/users/index.php/profile/detail/186643

and,
