I understand how everybody finds the Wicked obsession of 13-year-olds annoying, but that shouldn't detract from the enjoyment grown-ups may derive from the show. AFW* members unite! It's time to "come out" and Joe is just the guy to lead you!!!!!

SOMMS, are you going to see it in Philly? I am.
Hi, my name is Shameless and I am an adult fan of Wicked.
I feel better already.

Congrats you ursine hunk.
Hey, Shamey, you may be a member of AFW, but at least no one calls you an "ursine hunk." Be grateful.
Alas Miss P, I dilly-dallied about getting tickets and they are now sold out for the only date that I could have gone. The online scalpers want from $135 to $250 for tickets. Yipes!
Congratulations Joe - I am also excited to get to know you better. I have to admit that Wicked is one of my favorite OCR's to listen and sing along to in the car while driving. Am not ashamed to admit that I loved Wicked and I love Stephen Swartz. Questions later.
Unlimited. The adult audience for Wicked is unlimited...
Well, I have two extra tix that I donated to my favorite charity, which are up on ebay right now. If they don't sell, I can get them back and sell them to you at face value, but they're not cheap. They were like $130 each. HOWEVER...they're in the 6th row CENTER orchestra. I mean, you can't do much better than that without paying the "premium" price, you know?
The auction ends on Sunday. Let me know if you're interested, okay?

Congrats on your celebrityhood.
Ursine hunk? Woof.
Congratulations Joekv! The man who helped me embrace my inner bear and introduced me to Coke Zero... CHEERS!
Penny - I've been called a lot of things, but I'm grateful that ursine hunk is not one of them.
So, Joe, are you ready for questions?
What is your ideal meal? What is your favorite comfort food dish?

happiness is just a thing called joe ...
*raises hand* Wicked fan, here...
So, Joe, what brought you to BWW, and how did you find the OT board?

Whew-- It's good to be king!
Let's see-- I better do these as they come in or I will be up till 4 AM answering:
Comfort Read? I love "Once & Future King." I try to read it every year, usually on summer vacation. I also love "The Fountainhead" but after I was old enough to get the politcal implications, it's hard to embrace it. It's an interesting pair of books for a young person to read to get a handle on their political leanings.
Comfort food? Man, I love food-- Look at me! I was thinking of all the different types of ethnic food I love and finally realized "I LOVE DUMPLINGS!" Pot stickers, Shui Mai, Ravioli, Kreplach, Pierogies... OK I'm drooling now.
I am trying to recall what brought me here-- I think it was a trip to New York, and I googled a show (Perhaps the Bernadette Gypsy?) to see if there were any reviews and ran into several hundred contradictory opinions. I was hooked. I don't think I found the "Off-Topic" board until one of my posts got transferred there.
And of course Wicked-- Why is that topic so inexhaustable? The only foreign substance I've been "On" during the show was Twizzlers & Bottled Water-- the drug of choice for Broadway in Chicago. I'd think X would make some folks on here a little warmer to Wicked's charms-- or at least it would test the notion that X-ers "love everything." I have seen the new principals when they stood in at a show in December, but haven't seen the new "cast" yet. I am taking my BF's brother & Sister-in-law to see it in June and taking a group from my job in October.
Well I MUST get back to work-- I'll fill you all in on my fabulous job next time....
Congrats, Joe! As a fairly new Chicago transplant I have to ask: What are your favorite things about our lovely Windy City?
Congrats Joe!
You are another of those wonderful few who really made me feel welcome at BWW.
I don't see you often anymore, but it is a joy when I do.
YAY JOE! GREAT GUY!
My questions for you:
What is your favorite part about living in Chicago?
Other than standing upright, and having opposable thumbs, what, so far, is mankinds greatest achievement?
catsup or mayo on your fries?
Joe,
So far, your example has inspired the following people to "come out":

You are such a trailblazer! (And President of AFW.)
Congratulations!
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
If you were fired from your present job, what sort of work would you undertake?
