There have been a couple of days that I just didn't feel compelled to participate in this thread - but I respected the right and desire of those who wanted to.

I would hope that others can make that choice.

However, any nonsense will only reflect on them, and won't for a second detract from what we want to celebrate and share.

Hi guys. I'm so sorry I've missed the last few honorees. My PC is only working for a few minutes at a time. Still I'm going to try and go back and read everything I've missed.

As for the current nominee -

I've only actually met a few BWW'ers and each of them, without exception, praised Rath to the hilt. I am really hoping to get to know more about her this weekend. I do have a first question - but it's for everybody here who knows Rath personally. Would you mind sharing your favorite stories or memories or whatever you think is best (without invading her privacy) so that we others can get to know her better?

She's the first person on BWW that reached out to get to know me. She's "true blue" and has been a great friend to me for months now... through some tough times.

She's the "real deal." Honest, caring and funny as hell.

Did I mention talented, insightful, thoughtful and perceptive? Oh, yeah, those too!

Ok, here’s my take on Rath.

She’s funny, witty, honest, and she can be very blunt. Most of the time, I read what she writes and I crack up, but sometimes, I read the things she writes and all I can think is, “Oh, no she did not just say that!”

I think she values being honest over being nice, but at the same time, I’ve never seen her go out of her way to intentionally hurt anyone.

The bottom line is, I like her a lot and I miss her terribly. So, much so, that I’m willing to forgive the fact that she never said goodbye to me and hasn’t bothered to contact me in over a month. Not, that I'm bitter or anything.
