It's past 10am. No more changes. :) Hopefully the magnificent Glebb will show up at some point today.
A tea party! Yes!!

Oh god. Is this thread about to become yet another alternate universe in which Rath plays Let's Pretend? God knows it's less than scintillating in all the other threads it happens in, would be a pity to see this thread go that way too.
More good wishes for our Celebrity of the day...
Please excuse the soiled socks.

Actually, it's not all that negative. The image of an overgrown lesbian sitting at a teeny table before an assemblage of stuffed animals asking, "More tea, Hello Kitty?" is rather edifying. "Goodness gracious Ballerina Barbie, I so ENVY your thinness and Glebby will j'adore your tutu! I wish he would arrive at our tea party. I oh so very much do!"

Congrats, Glebby!!! Have a fun day!
That sounds like a wonderful idea, Addy. I'll bring the Earl Grey Lavender Tea.
I'm going to share a wonderful memory of going to see the graceful and beautiful Glebb teach a class this past Fall.
He lead the class with strength and yet a gentle touch as well. It was clear that everyone in the Company has deep respect for him and got a magnificent work-out.
Being able to watch the beauty of Glebb's work was a dream.

I'm definately posting in this thread WAY too late to congratulate the previous MBCotDs, but I will.
However, I'm definately in time for Glebb's day. Whee!
My Word! What a surprise!
I never expected this because I am most often in the studio by day and not able to play with you all as much as I wish I could.
I had to take my gorgeous powerbook to the Apple Store for some work yesterday and today is actually a company day off but I came in to work with some apprentices and prepare for our opening of R&J this Wed. And boy am I glad I did!
I can't thank you enough for this tribute. You all know how much I love spending time with you. I honestly would rather chat with you than do anything else.
I'll try to pop in as much as I can today.
Much love and thanks.
Glebby

We'll be waiting for you, Glebby.
Have a magical day.
Thank God you showed up. I was afraid there was going to be one of those awkward "Mr. Glebb could not be with this evening, he is working. Accepting the award in his honor is Miss Rath."

Glebb - Question"
What have been the positive aspects of the move to Chicago for your company and for you personally?
Question for Glebby: Tell us about going to Studio 54 after starring in a ballet at the Joffrey at City Center.
Who came to your dressing room to congratulate you? Did you dance with Liza at 54? With Misha? Did you do cocaine with them? Did you canoodle with them? How about Bianca Jagger?
FINALLY!! A truly, terrific, absolutely true...raconteur.
The man can quote anyone from Pat Ast to Margot Fonteyn!
Last week when he said that Moira Shearer's voice was lower than Vivien Leigh's in Ship of Fools I actually laughed out loud at work.
"How are the mumps, Marvel Ann?" - brilliant.
Give it up for Glebb!!!
Yeah! You're here!
(That signature line just doesn't quite ....fit? with that gorgeous avatar!)
All right sweetie - Tell us how you came to BWW and what made you come back and become a favorite regular?
I'd be happy to accept anything on behalf of Mr. Glebb, but I'd much rather he show up to accept on his own!
Hey there, Glebb!
congrats glebb!

A tribute quote from Corky St. Clair:
"So when i first got to New York, all i had was a dance belt a tube of Chapstick, basically."
My gosh, I just took a closer look.
Sueleen! Thank you so much.
I would like to know why I'm balancing on an alligator.
Is it because I'm from Miami?
Thank you all for your generosity!
brd - Chicago was always a 2nd home for us. We toured here two weeks every year. Joffrey's first performance back in 1956 took place in Chicago. Being here is fantastic because we are treated like one of the top jewels in the crown of Chicago Arts. We'll have our permenant space in about two years and our new temporary digs are quite stylish. One can see the marquise of The Oriental Theatre from our studio windows! Who could ask for anything more!
