I've made no secret that there are certain posters that I keep a special place for, and Mom is very definitely in that group. She provides something I think is so very vital to this forum - a conscience (along with a couple of other very special posters - who are also mothers, go figure!)

She is to our community like a heart is to the human body - and performs pretty much the same task. She keeps our life-blood flowing, and consistently reminds us of the humanity we should reach for within ourselves and each other.

The cookie offerings have become symbolic of maternal acceptance - and to receive them from someone who embodies such grace, awareness and inner-beauty is indeed a blessing.

Mom conitually makes me reach for the better within myself, and that is one of the greatest gifts of all.
