Hmmmm - a day of skiing may end in mid afternoon - but since it's his birthday. goodness KNOWS what mischief is in store.

It wouldn't bother me at all if he was so busy enjoying his life that he just had to read all this love 'after-the-fact'.

It certainly wouldn't diminish the level of affection and good will

If he left in the mid-afternoon, he should be back any minute now, but if he left Whistler in the late afternoon (which I assume he did), he has downtown Vancouver and border crossing traffic to contend with, and probably won't get back here until 10pmPST (it's already a 4 hour drive when there's no traffic problems).
