Anyone less than enchanted by the latest 15 minutes of sleaze-meistering? I love the chiseled cheeked Mr. Bergin appearing hither and yon to promote his earnest ("I didn't do it for the money; I don't need any money") tome, setting the record straight because too many ugly n'vicious things are being said about his poor dead ex girlfriend, Mrs. JFK, Jr. I love his supposedly flattering "record": she wasn't a coke head, just a girl who did drugs occasionally when she was down; she shtupped him mutliple times after marrying the Kennedy Prince, and also aborted the Bergin baby, and the person who would've become JFK III. What is particularly fascinating about his musings, is how it is presented as a kind of autobiography. The center section is loaded with alluring shots of the world'smost famous male model, NAMBLA poster boy at 12, cap n'gown clad ("hard to believe this guy became a model"), and prominent: a semi-nude pose circa the early days of the Calvin campaign. The era that gave him enough dough so that he wouldn't have to write a trashy tell-all above a girl who can't defend herself. Whoops, he did it anything, Carolyn's honor so prominent in his mind.

Lest we not want his unique exercise in air-clearing vis a vis this particular Dead Kennedy, we get enough P and A (pecs n'ass) to justify our 30 bucks. Will it sell? How could a book that gave the NY Post -- that rightwing tribute to traditional values -- at least 2 lurid covers this week not go through the roof? I dunno, I saw a lot of guys thumbing through the beefcake shots and then gently returning it to the big ol stack.

It's on my reading list -- right after Midge Dicter's portrait of Donald Rumsfeld.

Wow, looks there is hope for all those talented call boys out there!

He's a real "mans" man, and what character, the book reads like a Highlights magazine puzzle!

Gosh! And what a kooky coincidence...those POST covers were on the VERY SAME DAYS when Clarke n' Condi were the talk of the nation! Isn't that something?!

I don't think I can express the shame I feel for the interview that aired this past week.

Those of you who know me know why.
