Michael Jackson Musical in UK

I started to post this on the main board, but, upon reflection and in anticipation of some of the responses, I thought it might fit in better over here:


"A musical based on the hits of Michael Jackson will show at the Dominion theatre for just one day on Sunday 27 August. Thriller – The Musical features songs including Bad, Thriller, She’s Out Of My Life, Remember The Time, Beat It and Can You Feel It.

Over 100 performers including a West End chorus line, children’s ballet, gospel choir and dancers will take to the stage, as well as special guests. The guests and the cast details have not yet been confirmed. There will be an evening performance and matinee and there is also an after-show party at Teatro nightclub, for an additional £15.

The musical is based on a fictional story written by Adrian Grant, author of Michael Jackson – The Visual Documentary and founder of the original Michael Jackson British fanclub in 1988. The musical takes a fictional journey through the utopian world of Neverland on the way to Hollywood, as the earth and its inhabitants are slowly taken over by a group of demonic Zombies led by the evil Dom Sheldon and Dirty Diana. As time runs out for Neverland’s last remaining humans, Ben, Annie and Billie Jean have to save the day, with the help of Michael Jackson.

Plans are also being made to take the show on tour next year."

Yes Margo - in fact he will be casting from the pool of rejected Billy Eliotts. And I hear Tito will be playing the role of Bubbles.
