She knew exactly what she was saying, and I'm not buying the loopy explanations. I see it only in two possible ways:
1, she simply wanted to out herself as a homophobe, but now is flailing to back off with that tried and true artists cry of "you don't understand me!"
2, this was a failed publicity stunt, I mean, who has a twitter assistant?! I love how in that interview she seems to hate twitter and social media, but has an employee dedicated to it?
I'm proud of the folks who called her out, but am pretty creeped by those who supported the rant, or at least her right to show off her hate speak.
