Despite the thread sounding like the name of so!me awful cover band ("Hi, we're Midtown Salad and this is ROCK"), I'm actually wondering if there are any good places (or...great) to get a salad in the Times Square-ish area. Been eating Motzah Ball Soup at Edison Diner each day, so I need some good old greens.

Posted: 2/16/09 at 3:25pmI love the salads at Dishes, which is on 45th and 5th, I believe, or around there someplace (grilled rare tuna, avocado, and feta... MMMM). Also, check out the shepherd salad at Akdeniz Turkish restaurant on 46th and 5th.

Okay, I actually thought this WAS a thread about a band, ha. I'm of no help at all because I've only been to New York once, but salad is actually my favorite thing to eat, weird as that sounds, so I'll keep this thread in mind if I ever get the chance to go back.
