It was a lot of fun. Even seeing Jerry Springer was fun. So who was it, Sherman Slave, who made the belt buckle out of cheese whiz? Very good - I thought the judges looked like they enjoyed it too. Amazing how the winner already had that winner-gown along with her!

Ben Curtis sent me an e-mail today that he was participating in this. However I didn't get it until it was too late to go back to the city for the Pageant. Did he seem to be having fun?

Is Ben the one who posted that he was in the show and was doing something with Cheez Whiz? Is he Sherman Slave? I'm sorry for the confusion with names. The judges, especially Musto managed to look bored throughout the entire show, making the proper sarcastic comments. Musto was pretty funny, though. He was the only interesting judge. The others were the naked cowboy, a chick from a soap, Freddy Jackson, and a man who wrote a book about Trailer Park living. Springer had some pretty good one liners.

He is precious. I had a Cairn as a child, I miss that dog so much. He was the spitting image of Sherman.

You can tell Michael that I was the guy who made jewelry out of Cheez Whiz and despite the fact that I did not make the finals, I will STILL read his column.

I'll send Ben an e-mail but please note that he isn't the greatest about checking his messages. Also, I know he's heading down South to visit his family for Thanksgiving. He may have left already.

I heard from Ben Curtis earlier today. He called to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving.

He told me that he backed out of the Pageant at the last minute. His agent advised me that such an experience wouldn't be good for his career.

As I wasn't at the Pageant, I can't say whether he made the right decision or not.
