definately is one that irritates me to no end, partially because it is the one I have the most trouble with. It's definitely!!!!!!!!! Oooh, and those dangling modifiers, too!!!

We would all agree, i believe, that typing errors are usually forgiveble-we all make them. However, it's painful to read posts that sound like they were written by a rap singer.

I'd like to propose that a BWW.com Poster's Workshop be developed. Some of the more polished writers (I'm thinking Namo, Dollypop, and Zola, for starters) could host seminars about writing properly constructed sentences. It could be held at noon time....a Lunch and Learn series! Or they could charge a nominal amount of money as "tuition" and call it a fundraiser. I'm fairly certain that I'm onto something here....

My current pet peeve--putting a film or play/musical in quotes!
Plays, musicals, films, books, etc. are either italicized, underlined, bold printed, or in all caps.
Songs, poems, chapters, magazine articles, etc. are in quotes.

jrb - thanks for addressing the whole name game. I've always underlined titles, but my ignorance of this system doesn't let me do that. So I've been in-and-out with quotation marks and all caps - which drives me nuts as well as anyone else who cares about such things.
