Hmmm...sounds like someone around here!

Mitt Romney adviser Jim Talent appeared on Hardball and Chris Matthew asked him about his flip-flopping on various issues, including gay rights.
Matthews: What do you make of his claim...he claimed he was more pro-gay than Ted Kennedy. He wouldn't be saying that in Iowa because it's not a popular position, but hasn't he changed on a number of issues?
Talent: He’s always had the same position as to regards to the gay agenda. Look, he wants to know people to know he values gay people as people, okay? But he doesn’t want the militant gays to be able to change the cultural institutions of the country.
I'm in need of a Militant Gay.
I am taking applications.

I think a militant gay is any gay who expects to be treated like a human being.
Are you a good gay, or a bad gay?
I'd say only bad gays are ugly, but we know that ain't true.
I love bad boy gays.
b12b,
I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing!
Get out of me!
Are you a good gay, or a bad gay?

Now we all loathe stereotyping, don't we?
That said, if you lined up photos of all the candidates for President this time round, Mitty boy is the one who looks like he had some sort of secret life back in the day. He just does. Same way Little GWBushie does.
It is the "Boy was I drunk last night; I don't remember a thing" syndrome. We all went to school with that special sort of frat boy.
And
Is is 'bad' to expect equal rights?
Besty, you took the words and the wand right out of my mouth
Good Gay
Translation: never talks about gay issues, only "acts" gay in the privacy of his own home, never, EVER expects basic human rights. And thinks being a second class citizen is ok!
Bad Gay
Translation: votes democratic, wants same rights as ALL other Americans, believe the important thing about love is that is not WHO you love that is important, but rather that you DO love.
I guess you'd call me a bad gay, but I'm VERY good at it!

Too complicated, Elphaba. It's much simpler:
Good Gay: Closeted
Bad Gay: Out
Which is interesting, Namo, because many of us (myself included) reversed that equation for many years, only to be caught by surprise by the emergence into the culture in the past few years of bisexuality and the down low.
But I still basically think that
Good Gay: Out
Bad Gay: Closeted
Mitt and Jim Talent hit that one right out of the park!
No radical gay agenda.
I don't have a gay agenda!
Unless you count making thursday nights free to watch Ugly Betty.
I'm all for the rainbow coalition. Just no radical gay agenda.
And what, exactly, is the Radical Gay Agenda? It's a popular phrase that no one who uses it can explain.
It means we want to turn everyone into drag queens.
Well, that's just silly. What about lesbians?
Drag kings.
No special rights. Only equal rights.
