The Texas Supreme Court has denied an appeal for a new trial by a man on death row, despite the fact that the judge and prosecutor were having a clandestine romantic affair at the time of the trial.

You know the motto in Texas - "why retry 'em when we can fry 'em".
I sometimes wish that state would leave the Union.
