This report states that it is the Salt Lake City NBC affiliate (not sure how many NBC affiliates Utah has), which is owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But the show will likely be aired on the weekends on KUCW, Utah's CW affiliate.

I was just going to post that KSL, the NBC affiliate is owned by the Mormon Church, so like it or not, they have every right to not show programming that they believe goes against their values and beliefs. They said it had more to do with the sexual nature of the show than the fact that there were gay characters. "KSL did not cancel this show because it features gay characters," the station said in a statement. "We have viewed the pilot and this program contains sexually explicit content, demeaning dialogue and inciting stereotypes."
I lived in Utah for a while. KSL also didn't air Saturday Night Live. Some other station aired it, which I imagine will happen with this.

that is retarded enormously by organized religion. the question of the rights of the LGBT community would have been obviated (and was) some time ago if people stopped giving organized religion respect and lifted this absurd shield of protection from criticism that it is granted.

which do you think was more likely: that he chose celibacy, or felt it was thrust upon him by his religion? we will never know how many men and women were scarred in their youth by religious lies that a supernatural entity hated them so that they never knew how to relate sexually to another person. you guys know bloody well those kinds of individuals number in the thousands. it's amazing that you can pretend otherwise when just a few pages upstream, there was a letter from a father to his son disowning him for his sexuality, precisely on religious grounds, and I KNOW you guys know dozens of people who have gotten similar letters and probably got a few yourselves!
look. there is a very simple reason why the LGBT community will NEVER find its rights in the supposed jesus of nazareth and religion. it's all a myth. anything anyone says about what jesus "would have" thought is MADE UP. and believe you me, the religious will MAKE IT UP just as good as you can. it leads to an impasse; you say jesus says it's okay, they say he wouldn't, and NEITHER claim will EVER be verified. which is the point to begin with--that religion is inherently divisive because its very loud claims cannot be verified. we have all the verifiable FACTS we need to justify our rights without superstitious nonsense, and it's amazing that people won't reach out and take it!
