re: Most Arrogant Thing You've Ever Heard An Actor Say?

I got into an argument about a week ago with an actor who thinks that no form of comedy can be taught (even if it's just to polish natural ability). She thinks that the only way you can learn comedy is to teach yourself. I think it's incredibly arrogant to think that no one else can teach you anything of value.
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

Aw, Rose stole mine! But everything out of that man's mouth is arrogant, so I'll just say that Tom Cruise is the most arrogant actor.

That's a real shame about Martin Donovan being such an ass and having such a shocking reputation. He's not even THAT good.

And to add to the Tom Cruise fire, he's reportedly stopped the South Park episode that mocks him from being aired in the UK, or apparently anywhere else ever again.

Pop-

Tom's lawyers are probably on overload if they are trying to "quiet" every place he's made fun of!

I know, right? I mean if I call him a ridiculous shouting gay midget on here, will you guys get threatening letters from his "people"?

One Seattle actor who was auditioning for a Broadway-bound musical knew how good a singer he was and, after auditioning for the book writer and director, said to the book writer after finishing his song, "Well, Bill (the director, not his real name) has never auditioned me before....but he'll definitely remember to audition me from now on!"
The director was not amused. Amazingly, the actor was cast, but somehow got lost on the way to Broadway, where the show was a big hit.

Back to Tom for a minute-it's bothering me just how much clout he seems to have. In my mind, by now he should have been on the unemployment line but it's amazing how all that brouhaha about his idiocy died down.

An actors saying they have a certain performing skill is NOT an arrogant thing to say -- it is being protective of their gift.

It IS arrogant to claim to know things that actors just don't know. So, I'll vote for times when actors claim to understand more about people than the people themselves, etc.

I agree that Tom Cruise's comments on psychology and psychiatry would definately win in the arrogance contest.
