Interesting list, broadway86. I liked Cold Mountain a lot more than some other people, but I have major problems with AI, Minority Report, TCM '03, Stepmom, and The Girl Next Door.

matt, empire of the sun is an awesome movie! it never seems to get much attention, though. i would like to add to the list "frequency." it seemed to come and go without much fanfare, but i think it's a terrific film that i never get tired of- very well written.
