Movies/Books/Albums/Plays/TV Shows You've "Counted Down The Days" Until?

Berardinelli wrote an interesting column about DAYs (As in "The DAY!") pontificating on the Harry Potter book arriving today.

So what were some DAYs for you that have related to art? What was the last thing you counted down the days until?

I think the last time I got unbelievably excited about something to that degree was with INLAND EMPIRE last year. I mean, come on, it was David Lynch's first film in six years. Knowing he was distributing it himself, I dreaded the impossible: That I wouldn't be able to see it on the big screen in a theater.

Luckily, it came to my college in April and it ended up being completely worth the wait. It was, without question, one of the greatest moviegoing experiences of my life and I can say with no hyperbole....INLAND EMPIRE is the greatest film I have ever seen.

Generallly nothing. I'm too busy to remember things like release dates and count downs. I was greatly anticipating the release of THE BEALES OF GREY GARDENS on DVD and FACTORY GIRL on DVD.

Cruel: You're actually saying that INLAND EMPIRE is the greatest film you've ever seen? I think that's nuts.

I counted down the days until the release of the SPRING AWAKENING album. I counted down the days until the release of Thomas Pynchon's AGAINST THE DAY. I counted down the days until the beginning of the final season of THE SOPRANOS, and until the final episode. I'm finding myself counting down the days until THE SIMPSONS MOVIE.

Veronica Mars Series Finale.
The Tudors Season 2 Premiere.

I would count down the days until Tudors season 1 is released on DVD, but I have no idea when that will be...

Hahahaha. I totally remember counting down the days. . .

As for actual release dates, "Moulin Rouge" coming to DVD. I remember it came out EXTREMELY close to Christmas, but I told my family not to get it for me because I could not wait. Had to get it the day of! Updated On: 7/23/07 at 04:46 PM
