I didn't see another thread about it.
Anyone else see it? I did and if it weren't for the fact that the Jolie and Pitt were easy on the eyes and you could feel the sexual tension between them (that could be tabloid interjected) I would have hated this mess of a movie with no real plot (and a waste of Stephanie March).
And I like Angelina Jolie. I really do, but I realized after this film, she really can't act. She just kind of pouts and poses. And for Pitt, it was a continuation of the laid back Ocean's 11/12 type of a role (which I think is perfect for him)

I do want to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith...
Angelina Jolie can act - see Girl, Interrupted.

Really enjoyed this movie. It was funny and energetic, even if the plot was paper-thin. The brawl in their house was a real showstopper. Pitt and Jolie have such incredible chemistry, you can actually feel it.
Angelina Jolie can't act? Couldn't disagree more. Even in this film, she had some really great moments.

I read the David Denby review in the New Yorker, who says what I sensed abouts its subj, just from the ubitquitous trailer. He was deeply offended by the constant climate of violence and mayehm in a romantic comedy. Even the Dhargis gal in the NY Times chimed in. Why are gun-totin' hit people supposed to be so charming and cuddly?
Call me quirky, I don't get the world we live in. A brilliant biopic about Gilbert and Sullivan, TOPSY-TURVY, gets an R rating for a flash of a little nipple, and a cold, cynical piece of sheer calculation pulls a PG-13. Which film is the better material for 12-14 year olds? Which film aims high, and might actually offer burnt-out teens an alternative to Grand Theft Auto on Playstaion. This shallow culture -- "of life" (pu-leeze) -- is ever more ludicrous.

I didn't really find the violence to be all that "violent" it wasn't Sin City or Pulp Fiction/Kill Bill in degree. It was more screwball than violent. The premise of loving your spouse enough and wanting to kill them, but in the end, ya really can't, was funny, unfortunately to me the joke ran thin after about 10 minutes. But the trailer shot of the "come to daddy" and jolie beatin his @ss and then her retort "who's your daddy now?" was pure fun and the extent of it.
For as much "violence" there was minimal blood too, I almost threw up during Sin City a couple of times..bleh

I thought it looked like pure eye-candy by judging on the trailer. But I'm seeing Batman this Wednesday ANYWAY so...yay.

I'd like to see this. Of coruse, I'll probably waiting until it's on video as my mother gets over-protective and absolutely refuses to let me see a PG-13 movie... but oh well.
Stephanie March is fantastic.
