Read somewhere one cutscene was Watts singing to Kong.
Yes, it was in Entertainment Weekly this week. She was singing "When You're Smiling" to Kong. It was cut from the movie, according to Naomi Watts, "because of my sketchy singing abilities."
And it does appear that the director's cut DVD is in the works, just like the extended versions of "Lord of the Rings."

Fabulous review.
I just loved this movie. I think it is one of the most beautiful films made in a long time. I really encourage everyone to see it. And don't wait for the DVD. It really needs to be experienced on the big screen. This film really just touched my heart.
