can't we be excited about both?
I said I'm ALSO... I didn't ask to choose
Was just going to point out the "also" Craig!

Jeffery Tambor, according to the IMDb
awwww... I was hoping it was going to be a shared role between Statler and Waldorf! (ty Timote)
How did it take them THIS long to do this?!
I can't wait!
I love that Pepe the King Prawn is playing Toto!
So, I am the ONLY one who thinks this looks just awful? No, really, really AWFUL!
I think that it could be very interesting... Who knows... I hope that it's good, it looks funny!!
Glad you reminded me... I'll have to set the vcr...

Is that black person still playing Dorothy?
(I'm not sure that's what Baum had in mind when he wrote the books.)
LOL OTA...

That wasn't racist. I didn't complain when Brandy played Cinderella. Or when... Can't think of anymore examples.
Friday, ABC, 8 pm.
C_O... that WAS a little bit racist. Quite racist, actually.
Thanks,....and that was racist...
What did you mean, then, by "Is that BLACK person STILL playing Dorothy?" It sounds like you were hoping the producers would come to their senses and cast a "White" person.
And why would it matter if Baum had a white person or a person of color in mind when writing the books? Did you complain when they portrayed Glinda as a totally self-centered bitch in WICKED? That, I am sure is further from what Baum imagined than a non-white Dorothy.

Pop in your Avenue Q CD and listen to song number four, I think. Everyone's a little bit racist. If I knew her name, I would've said it. (even though I think it's Ashanti).
Would it have been racist if I asked "Is Ashanti still playing Dorothy?" Yeah, I could've went to IMDb and looked it up but I thought I'd spark conversation.
(And I thought people would reply when the girl's name.)
Oh, if I would've asked "Is that GIRL still playing Dorothy?" would you be all "You're sexist!"???? Probably so.
Off subject, playing Dorothy is now my #3 on my list of Things to Do Before I Die.
Fool.
If I knew her name, I would've said it. (even though I think it's Ashanti).
Good guess. I dont think that it would have been that hard to write Ashanti.
