Muppet Wizard of Oz Countdown....

Sure there's Star Wars Episode III starting tonight at midnight. Personally, I'm also looking forward to seeing The Muppet Wizard of Oz on Friday..

What did you mean, then, by "Is that BLACK person STILL playing Dorothy?" It sounds like you were hoping the producers would come to their senses and cast a "White" person.

And why would it matter if Baum had a white person or a person of color in mind when writing the books? Did you complain when they portrayed Glinda as a totally self-centered bitch in WICKED? That, I am sure is further from what Baum imagined than a non-white Dorothy.

Would it have been racist if I asked "Is Ashanti still playing Dorothy?" Yeah, I could've went to IMDb and looked it up but I thought I'd spark conversation.

(And I thought people would reply when the girl's name.)

Oh, if I would've asked "Is that GIRL still playing Dorothy?" would you be all "You're sexist!"???? Probably so.

Off subject, playing Dorothy is now my #3 on my list of Things to Do Before I Die.
