Musical for a cast smaller than 9

I'm looking for a musical that is family appropriate but is still good and has more female roles than male roles. Any ideas?

The only one I can think of is doing YAGMCB and casting girls as Linus and Snoopy.

What age range are we talking here?

If high school or older, The Spitfire Grill would be perfect for you.

Six roles, 3 female, 2 male, one non-speaking male role. And the female roles are considerably larger than the male roles.

Oh, I lied, there's actually 4 female parts. So seven roles in all, counting the non-speaking male role.

Spelling Bee has 9 exactly (although the ratio is 5 boys 4 girls).

But if it's viable, you can certainly cast girls as Leaf and maybe Mitch

The one that first came to mind was You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. IT is familiar so I think if you did it people would go. It is also fun and lighthearted, which is a plus.

Unless you have a girl play Snoopy, which I hate.

I'd say take a look at A Year With Frog and Toad. It's a cast of 5, typically 3 guys (Frog, Toad, Snail), and two women (Mouse and Turtle). However, I've seen it done with just the 2 guys playing Frog and Toad, and girls playing all of the other parts.
