Posted: 3/23/08 at 12:24pmWhat are some good musicals that have two strong male leads? I developed really good stage chemistry with this guy I met during musical this year. I'm kinda looking for the male version of Elphaba and Glinda in a musical. Obviously good chemistry is important in whatever musical you do, with everyone on stage. But if you have any idead, please post!

Considering ease of production, I'm inclined to say "Secret Garden" and "Guys and Dolls," as tons of high schools have put these shows on with little difficulty.
Also, consider "Carousel" (Billy and Jigger).

Lil Abner,
Abner & Marryin' Sam are both major parts, although they dont interact a great deal on stage.
The Producers is always a blast.
And theres a few good matches in 42nd Street.
Goshen doesn't do High-School-shows.

There is now a high school version of RENT. It changes some of the words.
"Mucho masturbation" is now "Mucho medication". Obviously, sex is bad but drugs are OK.
