I have caught my cat online, looking at Kitty Porn.
For shame.

Cats need to have fun too.
Sheesh.

youwant, I'll have to check my phone bill...I just assumed they were to customers, but now that I know Sweetpea is using the phone, I'll have to get a "paw lock" for it

PalJoey,
My cat knocks over the bathroom wastebasket and eats used QTips...you may have something there re: earwax...
God makes 'em cute for a reason.

Newgirl, there are definately worse things a cat could chew on in your bathroom wastebasket.
Mine has a lid for that very reason!

Let's not even get into what dogs do in bathroom wastebaskets.

earplugs - I guess my only advice is to hide 'em! My tabby often chews on stuff. When I catch her doing it, I give a loud clap - which sends her reeling into the other room. Eventually they learn to leave stuff alone, but it's tough if they are doing it when you are not looking.
I have a Russian Blue too. And as others have said, they are indeed determined and intelligent little buggers. Mine doesn't chew up stuff, but she does "gather" her stuff into her "area." Yesterday in her little cat bed I found: husband's socks (2), toy (1), treat "saved" from earlier(1), hairball (1).
Can you replace the earplugs with treats? My blue will literally "ask" for treats with that little tiny Blue-esque meow. She's too cute.
Sorry I wasn't more help. I think your thread is turning into the "Russian Blue Love Thread!"

I try to hide them, but some days, I just screw it up - then, chomp chomp chomp . . . For example, last night, one fell out in the middle of the night . . .
I am going to try the water bottle when I seem him chomping again.
I am hesitant to use a loud noise method because the Snowshoe is so skittish to begin with that she does not need anything else to startle her!
At least I found no evidence of Ear plugs in the jaws of life yesterday.
But, not surprisingly, the computer was on and the computer had a history that included pages and pages of "cat fancy = the discerning cat's choice of cats about town."
And, the phone was once again off the hook.
Elphaba - check SweetPea, I think she and Stoli have something going on - I heard some Luther on softly when I got home last night as well!

I have new kittens. When I get a good pic of them online, i'll be posting, but yesterday, the girl kittybutt swan dove into the (thankfully clean) toilet.
