Yes he was. I remember having a small crush on him when I saw the movie Darby O'Gill and the Little People. I actually didn't find out he was in that movie until I was much older.

Sean Connery was also very amenable to getting rid of his clothing. There are tons of shots of him in nice little shorts, towels around the waist or a Speedo.

Ever see the muscle-boy shot from a body building contest when he was 18? It makes the temperature rise by 10 degrees.
