My one month mourning period for the passing of my dog Sarah is now over, but she remains firmly in my memory of 15 great, loving years. I'm finally facing the task of replacing my icon. Meet Chloe, who is currently napping in my lap as I type. While in New York recently, my theater-loving friends and I tried to come up with a theatrical name. It ended up that we liked the name Chloe instead. I'll make it up to her by playing a lot of show tunes in her presence. Isn't it amazing how much our pets are cherished members of our families?! OK. Enough dog talk. Back to theater chat!
CalTheaterGirl sent me a few additional pictures of Chloe in my Email. She is guilty of sending me images of almost pornographic adorability! Those big brown 'cow eyes' and big 'beep - beep' nose...the floppy ears... and wiggly little butt.... She's TOOO much!
OMG, i wanted that exact same dog, when i was in the market for getting one. But, alas i chose a trip to nyc over it. Why has theatre taken over my life?
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
Ca I am so happy and thrilled to see the picture of your adorable lilttle Chloe. I would love to see more pictures. Here's to a long and loving relationship.
Thanks for the kind words! She's becoming a computer dog, sitting on my lap as I check the BroadwayWorld site! it's now double duty for me! Thirdrowcenter, This proud "mama" always loves sharing photos! You'll get some.
Oh, CalGal, I know Sarah was such a love and dear friend to you for so many years, I'm overjoyed you jumped in and became a Mommy again so soon, I KNOW you'll be wonderful Mother!
She is so cute. My puppy is 10 months old and seriously having him has been the best thing ever. I'm so happy for you (ps sorry about your loss as well)
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are soooo cute! I kind of saw an episode of Breed All About It on the Animal Planet awhile ago. They look so playful and adorable! I have a few dog books and always used to look at all the pictures of dogs...gotta love 'em.
I also used to want a Jack Russell Terrier (like Wishbone!). Those are hyper.
"We like to snark around here. Sometimes we actually talk about theater...but we try not to let that get in our way." - dramamama611
millie - I have a jack russel mix and hes great. He has some Jack characteristics, and a similar look (aside from his head being bigger!) but isn't hyper at all which is a huge plus. You should look into something like that. Besides I think pound puppies are great! They make you feel like you're doing something really good!
After the initial recommendation from my dog trainer that Cavs would be a great choice, I did extensive homework and research. Information I got from friends, acquaintances and many breeders cemented my decision to get a Cav puppy. Wow! I'm so glad I did! It's unbelievable what a pal she's become in only five days! She follows me everywhere and either sits quietly in my lap or at my feet. She's so alert, inquisitive AND cuddly, too. I've taken her everywhere in her Sherpa bag and she's always as good as gold. I'm so glad I have another pet to love. All of you who have pets know that feeling. No matter how bad things are going in your life, a pet is such comfort and full of unconditional love.
