Just for laughs, if you were given 10 minutes to think about it, what would your Apple Tree concept be? Anything is better than what there is now.

Hah...I am not familiar enough with the Apple Tree to do that...but I can easily do that with most shows I know. I pretty much spend all my time doing that.
And in it's defence, John Lee Beatty is a wonderful designer who I admire. I know there was an intentional request on the producer's behalf to keep the sets minimal because of its limited run nature, and the fact that it worked so well in its previous incarnation with Chenoweth.

Posted: 12/6/06 at 3:42pmI know he's a great designer and I realize they were going for a minimalist design....trouble is....when you think of the Garden of Eden, you're going to want to see at least 1 tree. :)

There are no press shots out just yet (it just started previews).
The whole thing is wooden planks with ladders. The ladders connect to form huts and whatnot. There's nothing to the other sets for the 2 other vignettes, just tinsel covering the back wall and a movable staircase & chimney.
