Just wanted to share the news that the indie feature film, A Couple Of Days And Nights - in which I play one of the lead roles - is being released nationwide on DVD this Fall! The film also features the Velvet Chain songs "Don't Leave A Diva" and "You Got Me." (Velvet Chain's my band...)
Members of the very talented cast - David Lago (Young and the Restless), Allison Munn (What I Like About You, The Fantasticks), Jackie Beat (drag queen extraordinaire), KW Miller (Wicked tour) Joe Peracchio (creator and star of The Glorious & Bloodthirsty Billy the Kid), Shonda Farr (many, many TV guest star spots) and yours truly (BWW poster and LA stage gal) - plus Nancy Wilson of the classic rock band Heart, who provided songs in the film - were recently interviewed for some DVD extras, and the resulting commentary/montage has been posted on YouTube for your viewing pleasure:

Check it out if you feel like it!

Thanks, YWIW... Have you ever seen Jackie in his full drag persona? It's a sight to see. (He played Roger, the drip in my band who was in love with me...) And how's Sunday looking for you? Still have one seat left for that show...
Thanks for the WOOHOOO, Tink!
Nancy Wilson's ok, but that sister of hers...RAWR!
YAY......can't wait!

I believe the release date is in October, but I don't know the exact date off hand. I'm excited! It's the first feature I've done that didn't just stay in the festival circuit. (Other than stuff I just did recording work for, I mean.)

YWIW: Never mind. Found someone who wants to go.
Happy Bastille Day!
Ahhh - I have an offer in on a townhouse right now - so the whole weekend is still up in the air.
We are going back and forth between offers and counter-offers, and I am running to the realtor to sign things.
I did not read the post earlier - sorry about that.
That is fantastic erika! I promise I will check it out when it's released!
I will be checking it out also. Just watched the video and I am jealous! You got to kiss David Lago!! Congrats! I look forward to watching the film.

Thanks, guys! David's a very cool, very funny guy.
And no worries, YWIW, I totally understand!

Hey, guys! Well, the movie is finally available on Netflix, but it has a really crappy rating so far.
So, if those of you who saw it and enjoyed it wouldn't mind logging in to your account and giving it a good rating and/or review, I know everyone involved with the movie would appreciate it! (And if you saw it and hated it, well, I'd really appreciate your adhering to the old "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" adage.)
Thanks in advance!

YWIW? Elphaba? Anyone? Bueller????
I want to see it, but we don't have Netflix.
You look so cute!
I'll see if I can talk Ivan into buying it.
From an Amazon review: "Erika's singing at the beginning certainly made me wish for more [music]."
You go, girl!

Hehehehe... Thanks! It's pretty cheap on Overstock.com. About $12.00
Erika I dumped Netflix, as because I rented SO many movies they penalize you by making you wait SO long to get new releases, whereas people who rarely rent get new releases right away.....
I won't play that game, so I dumped them.
But as I have said many times....LOVE that movie.

Huh? That sounds really weird... But I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I rent so few movies, the "three at a time" that arrive just sit around for at least a month, so I'm really just wasting money. I actually just downgraded to the "one at a time" plan.
ANYWAY, thank you so much for the compliment. It's fun.
Erika-I promise I am going to sign back to Netflix (on freeze right -not much new gay movie
) ..just to see your movie...and I will let you know....Actually I am excited to see you in the movie.

jastarr: Thanks so much! It's quirky, I warn ya!
Mister Matt: MWAH-hahahahaha!
darlin, you say quirky as if that's a bad thing.....it's brilliant!
It's at the top of my list Erika, so I should get it Thursday. Hell, I'll give you five stars if it's worse that Gigli.
Believe me - It's a really cute movie and Erika's a hoot in it. I said it before - my only argument with it is that we don't get to hear more of her singing! I bought the DVD quite some time ago and I love it.
