I can't link cuz I'm on my phone. But, wow.
Mitt Romney takes a lot of credit for making this happen.

Poor Mitt, maybe he can flip flop back to the right side of history and dismiss last month's comments as ancient history.
Wow. First the RNC and now the NAACP. What are we gonna do with no-one to hate us?
Oh, right. The Pope.
Carry on....
RNC? Can you give a link? Last I heard the RNC was not in favor.

Taz, he's part. Here's a quote from a Change.org 2010 interview:
"Growing up as one of only a handful of African-American kids in Monterrey, California, I was always deeply aware of the role of race in society. My white father was actually disowned by his parents when he married my black mother."
Anyway, great news!

The RNC certainly hasn't endorsed gay marriage...
Jan van Lohuizen--whose voice is heard pretty loudly within Republican strategy circles--issued a memo last week telling the (evil) faithful that they were on the wrong side of both history and public opinion. One of the suggested talking points was the notion that the 'authentic' conservative position should be 'pro marriage'...
"Conservative fundamentals: “As people who promote personal responsibility, family values, commitment and stability, and emphasize freedom and limited government we have to recognize that freedom means freedom for everyone. This includes the freedom to decide how you live and to enter into relationships of your choosing, the freedom to live without excessive interference of the regulatory force of government."
And then pigs began to fly...
Politico post on van Lohuizen memo
For me, though, the standout news-bite in a week packed with developments on many fronts was pathologically self-loathing Chris Barron of GOProud, responding to Obama with the Orwellian:
“It is good to see...that President Obama has finally come around to the Dick Cheney position on marriage equality. "
One person is NOT the RNC.
Fair enough. I was hyperbolic in my post; I apologize.
Man, this is going to throw all of those conservative, black churches into a tizzy!
What does EricMontreal22 think that she said?

The head of the NAACP will be on Maddow in a minute.
