"Look out, ABC -- NBC wants Rosie O'Donnell in a bad way.
New programming chief Ben Silverman is telling friends he will do anything to get O'Donnell onto the network, and not just in daytime. Silverman is talking to O'Donnell about hosting a prime-time game show he has up his sleeve as well as a daytime hour a la "The View."
O'Donnell, meanwhile, is sitting pretty. Her final ratings on "The View" skyrocketed the show to unprecedented success. Barbara Walters will have quite a gap to fill over the summer as she looks for replacements."

Prime Time Game Show? Ick! I thought they wanted Rosie for an Ed Sullivan Style variety show! She'd be great at that. 3 or 4 guests a week, live performances, some chat. Comedians, singers, specialty acts and every week Rosie joins her guests for a themed medley of songs.
Oh no, Joe, please, please, we've all been punished enough without Rosie butchering a medley every week.

Yeah - that made me throw up a little in my mouth.
Two shows killed Martha....
Rosie should just do the price is right.
Prime time would turn Donald Trump into a pop culture seer.
mejusthavingfun, Martha who? What two shows are you referring to?
Martha Stewart, she did an Apprentice and the daytime thing. The Apprentice was cancelled I think and that daytime thing tanks daily in ratings.
Anyways,,, I wonder what "anything" means. She could ask GE (NBC's parent company) to pull out of the War as a defense contractor.

Ooh Rosie O'Donnell's "The Apprentice"! "Fifteen ambitious contestants battle to become Rosie O'Donnell's apprentice, competing in tasks like performing foot rubs or fetching Diet Cokes and Ring Dings, hoping not to hear Rosie's signature kiss off "Liars get cancer!" "
I love your variety show/talk show idea, Joe.
