I will be going tonight - - I ADORE the ballet, in my all time favorite place
Lincoln Center on a summer night. Too bad there is so much construction
going on. Does anyone else enjoy the Ballet?

I ADORE the Ballet! Unfortunately, I haven't been since I was about six and my mom's art teacher took me and my sister to see THE NUTCRACKER. Somehow we got backstage, and I was enthralled.
Now, one of my greatest dreams is to dance en pointe. I wish I could see a show.

I also enjoy ballet. Unfortunatly, I seem to be the only person around here (my town) who does. There's no one who'd be willing to tag along with me to watch it in the city. I've always wanted to take ballet year round and eventually dance en pointe, but I don't have the time.

I love it kooky. The last time I was in NY I went to Lincoln Center and saw a breathtaking performance of "Jewels". It was the highlight of my NY weekend.
This Wednesday I'll be going to the Kennedy Center to see the Pennsylvania Ballet perform "In the Night", the Houston Ballet perform "Velocity" and then Ballet West perform "Serenade". (Of course the icing on that cake will be seeing Glebby!)

Posted: 6/7/08 at 10:06pmI love the ballet and so sorry I'm missing ABT at the Met. However, I did attend the ballet last night at the Kennedy Center. It was called Protege and featured students from the Paris Opera Ballet, Royal Ballet, School of American Ballet and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. The students from the School of American Ballet were amazing. The best of the lot.

Mamie, it was " Jewels " that I saw tonight ........... The costumes, music, and
of course those wonderful dancers. As the " Four Seasons " said,
OH WHAT A NIGHT!
Enjoy your night at the Kennedy Center and your Ballet, can't wait to hear about it.
