I stayed in the Manhattan Broadway Hotel in New York last weekend. It was TERRIBLE. The website said that each room had the following things that mine lacked: alarm clock radio, armoire, and ironing board. In addition to that, my room had no windows, the bathroom door didn't close, and the maid turned off my air conditioning when she cleaned my room, making it unbearably hot at night. Is there any way I can get my money back?
Complain to a manager. Point out exactly what your room was missing that the website informed you that you would have. I doubt you'd get a full refund out of it, but you'll probably get something.
You'll probably get a voucher for a free stay. That's what I got when I complained to Hilton when I felt an employee was needlessly rude to me.
No windows? Oh, my goodness!
Yes, speak to the Manager. Did you speak to anyone at the hotel before you checked out, or after you checked in?
Not sure what will happen now since you all ready stayed there. Please let us know what happens.

If your room is unsatisfactory for any reason, contact the front desk as soon as possible after check in. I once got a hotel room with a bed so short my husband's feet overhung it. I told the bellhop we weren't staying there and he had to schlep all our luggage back to the front desk. We were promptly given a satisfactory room.
Gernerally, the best time to complain is while you are at the hotel, rather than waiting for later, but in any event definitely make the complaint, in writing or in an e-mail, to the manager.

Nothing better than a free night at a dump hotel. lol
You guys should take a look at the reviews on tripadvisor. Especially the guest photos. Ewww!

Wow!That place gives the Hotel Carter a run for it's filthy money. I am all for complaining when a hotel sucks. The best bet is to complain upon arrival and check-out to a manager. Hotels never give refunds, so sometimes vouchers for free nights are all you get. But honestly, I dont mind squallor so much if its free.

When I saw the hotel name, I cringed.
For any service that doesn't live up to what you expect...or even a low level of quality, complain. I'm dealing with Megabus right now over my Toronto to Syracuse trip with them last Sunday. Or should I say Toronto to Buffalo. The situation was so bad (changing multiple buses...hours of layovers) that my kids and I ended up booking a ticket with Trailways for the rest of the journey.
