NYC New Years Eve Question

NYC New Years Eve Question

My 17 year old brother is coming into town this week and I have no idea what to do with him on New Years Eve. I'm NOT going to take him to Times Square and we can't go to any bars. Does anyone have any ideas???

I have spent many a New Year's Eve in Cafe Rafaella on Seventh AVE in the west village,after seeing a show or movie, pigging out on cake and lattes. They usually hand out Hats and Noisemakers around midnight. A nice subdued evening if spent with the right people.
