NYE at Times Square — Page 2

There used to be a 2 floor Nathan's on the corner of 43rd and Broadway. On NYE you could scoot in there to go to the john, grab a bite and sit. You than could go outside . You did not see the ball drop but you were in the crowd when it did. This is how I did my one and only New Years in Times Square.

I would love to hear of Sam's experience.

Yes, I have witnessed it. They have a battalion of Sanitation Workers, Police (removing the barricades), street sweepers and garbage trucks. I know some on the TV crews who stand by to disassemble the platforms, cameras and lights. It is pretty amazing and efficient. I guess after doing it for so many years they have it down. I know for a fact it is both as once the most despised yet beloved job (for the incredible overtime).
