NYT sends Broadway Gossip Writer to Cover Iraq

Is this part of the NYT restructuring that's been going on? I know they pushed Lawrence Van Gelder into retirement, after 30+ years at The Times.

It's not like any other writer at the times has any real journalist integrity. The paper is a rag and everyone knows it. The Republicans b!tch because they think it is a liberal paper. The liberals hate it because it WAS a mouth piece for Bush and his Iraq war.

It's a disgrace and this comes as no surprise. Most media outlets in this country are run out of megaconglomerate's entertainment divisions.
