NYT: Obama's Support Softens — Page 2

The Times has been accused of being more pro-Obama, but anyone who reads it every day has a very different take-away. The columnists all make the case for Hillary, even when they pretend otherwise. Start with Krugman, who only today wrote a piece on Elizabeth Edwards' challenge to McCain on Health Care, but by the end was of course talking about how only Hillary's plan works best for Mrs. Edwards. He cannot resist. (And it has been tirelessly reported how little difference there is in the Democratic plans -- both of which would require the imprimatur of congress anyway. No president walks in and announced legislation and then gets it. So it's insane the way the differences are parsed.)
But though I'm tired of the Clinton's campaign, for all the reasons many are, she must stay in the race. Yes, let's just say she deserves to, and embrace it. Let her fight all the way to the August convention. It's the only way the party will every unite. If the Clinton camp is in any way shut out, we will have chaos.

Hear that, "you people?" We have to calm down. Never dawned on me.

Yes. I include you in that, Auggie. We all need to be patient and let this process finish.

As of today:
After Pennsylvania, Clinton will be ahead in the popular vote.

I soooo appreciate the self-appointed, censorious arbiters of civil discourse, offended by the heated tone of these discussions, who feel it's their cyber-civic duty to interject their finger-wagging. Some of us actually enjoy red-faced confrontations here. What "we all need to do" is decidedly subjective, thank you very much.

Oh give me a break, Auggie. I, too, enjoy red faced confrontations and clearly have had many on various topics, including this primary race.
But, it's gotten out of hand. That's MY opinion on this message board of opinions.
I am so sorry that you have been so brutally offended. But, I have faith that you will get over it.

A red-faced Auggie, having just told PalJoey what he REALLY thinks of the next president of the United States, Hillary Clinton:

oh, c'mon. grow a set, ya pansies. this is a sample of what the gop has faced every single day for the last seven years.
you've cultivated a fever swamp in which excess is celebrated and vitriol is currency as long as the targets of those attacks have been on the right. well, guess what? now you have to deal with the monster you created as it turns on the masters.
everyday is a picnic for me watching this. each side claiming that their attacks are not attacks at all and the other crying victim at the slightest provocation while spitting venom faster than sunny lane in cohf 27. outlandish conspiracy theories. watching as the pillars of the party are demonized.
by august, i don't know that i'll even care who wins, this will have made up for so much it's not even funny. but still, the obliviousness of some to what's happening to them as it happens? priceless.

PJ, actually, other than the hair -- I haven't had that much since 1968 -- the picture is a startling likeness. Just goes to show, we all DO have a double somewhere!
