I am having a hard time deciding what to name my new kitten. It is a male and will be arriving in January. I am looking for a broadway/theater name. Any suggestions?
If he's a white kitten, you could call him Albin.
skimbleshanks... wouldn't you just love to stand at the back door and yell that calling him?

Simba, cause hey simba after all is the king! lol, eh it was just an idea
Not exactly Broadway-related, but I've always wanted to name a kitten Eduardo. I try to get people I know to do it, since I can't have a cat.

Maybe you should wait until you spend some time with it. Sometimes physical traits or personality traits will come out and be more apropriate. I once had a puppy that everytime she would come around me she would wag her tail furiously. Of course,
we had to name her Wagz.
Grizzabella? I love the names from Cats.
I have a book on pet names, so, yea, PM me if you want some/a lot.
em, my cat's name is edwardo. we just call him ed, or eddie, but we occationally get things in the mail form the vet's office addressed to edwardo.
Rum Tum Tugger...duh!
We have one named Oliver, and if we get another male cat, I'd love to name it Seymour.

Ehh I'm not too fond of CATS the musical.
I have a cat named Oliver and Seymour is one of the possibilites along with Collins.
I was going to suggest Oliver (Oliver & Company. That cat is CUTE!)
Marius? Maybe not a very good name for a KITTEN though. But it might suit a cat?
It's actually the middle name of one of my favorite actors, but I think it's a cute name for a cat!

Kit Kat as in Kit Kat Club.
Awwww, I like Collins. Get him a girlfriend named Angel. Could be a girl or a neutered male. Wouldn't really matter.
You could name him Sweeney. I like pets with like four names. Collins Sweeney Rasputin Mussolini III.
You could name him Orbach. Call him Orby or Jerry. awwww
ValJean if you want a snobbish kitty. Sounds like a snooty name.
Emcee. You could even name him M_______ C________ (Maruis/Mark Collins?)

WOW, I like Dolores, maybe I need another cat jsut to name it that. Well, actually we have the limit of animals...oh well, maybe when Sandy dies....
I like Precious. Like Precious McGuier
Well, cat trainers say that cats seem to respond better to an 'eee' (long e) sound in their name. This is a quick list of male names from recent shows:
Avenue Q = Nicky, Trekkie
Chicago, 42nd Street = Billy
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels = Freddy
Hairspray = Corny, Seaweed (ok, it's a stretch)
Jersey Boys = Frankie, Tommy, Joey
Spamalot = Patsy
Sweeney Todd = Sweeney
The Color Purple, Urinetown = Bobby
The Light in the Piazza = Giuseppe
The Odd Couple = Murray, Vinnie
The Phantom of the Opera = Piangi
Throroughly Modern Millie = Jimmy
Gypsy = Herbie
Oklahoma = Curley, Ali
Thou Shalt Not = Camille
Funny Girl = Nicky
The Rocky Horror Shpow = Rocky
Dame Edna = Barry
Death of a Salesman = Willy
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown = Charlie, Snoopy
Cats = Macavity, Mungojerrie
My personal favorite from above is Giuseppe, but I really love JerseyGirl's "Jerry".
I've found it best to NOT name animals or children on a lark. What you may like today, you may not like tomorrow.....and how would YOU feel if your parents named you Sweeny?
I like Jerseygirl2's suggestion... :)
I used to use a baby name book to name ours. The only time I didnt use a baby name book, was with my Russian Blue kitty. *points to her in my avatar* Her name is Kyrnan... it's a different spelling on the Irish name Kiernan. As you can tell by the look on her face, she's thrilled with her name.
LoL
Yeah, I agree that you should meet your cat first. I named my girl cat Katey after Katherine (Taming of the Shrew) because she was a beautiful yet tough street cat that definitely needed taming!
And I think a sassy girl cat would be excellent named Maggie.
And I also like the Breakfast at Tiffany's idea of naming the cat "Cat".
Maggie, that's a fabulous list, and a very useful bit of info!
My cat had never had a name, then my ex-girlfriend named her Bitch Cat, but I call her Beecie. She seems to like it. I miss her! (The cat, not the ex.)
