This message was just sent by my IT department at work:
There is a new Facebook virus on the loose today, which can compromise your computer and your privacy. It arrives in your Facebook inbox with a copy to the mailbox you use to receive Facebook notifications. This particular virus installs spyware on your computer (not just your Facebook profile); details below.
The text will vary, but the message will arrive from someone you know. Here are a few examples of the subject lines we've seen so far:
Is this U?
You look sexxy
You look just awesome in this new movie
You look funny in this new video
Thiss could be the beginning of yourr actingg carreerr!
The link might look something like this (note the semicolon and second "http"):
http://www.facebook.com/l/;http...
Do not click links in Facebook messages or respond to messages about installing software.

I received a couple of those last week, and not knowing about the virus, clicked on the link several times (in order to see the supposed video of me.) Perhaps I'm lucky I use macs because friends of mine with PC's got the virus but I didn't.
